Aloha! We were married on Ulua Beach in Maui back in 1990. Yes, that’s our wedding photo on the left! It was a wonderful little ceremony attended by just ourselves and our parents. We quickly fell in love with Maui, especially the south (Kihei/Wailea) side. It wasn’t long (1991 actually) before we purchased our first condo in Kihei. It was a small unit with no ocean view, but it was our “foot in the door”. It was also our introduction to owning a vacation rental condo on Maui. After a number of years, we were able to purchase the premier unit in that particular condo complex… top floor, corner location, 180 degree ocean view, right across the street from the beach. We made the purchase and eventually sold our “starter” condo. After a number more years, we started seriously looking for our perfect retirement condo. By that time, we had owned property in South Maui for over 15 years and we had our “requirements list” pretty well defined. While the second Kihei condo was lovely and had an unbelievable view, it was small and in a busy/noisy location due to the road between the condo and the beach. After a year-long search, we found our personal paradise in Wailea Elua Village, and our perfect unit in #701. We made that purchase 18 years ago, and once again, eventually sold the second Kihei condo.

So I guess what you need to know about us is that we have been in the vacation rental condo business on Maui for nearly 34 years, and throughout that time, our first and foremost priority has been our guests’ experience. We are passionate about Elua 701, not only because it is our second home, but because it is our guests’ home during their vacation on Maui. While retirement is a little ways off on the horizon for us, and thus we are currently still 'tied to our jobs' on the mainland, our plan is to 'someday' retire to Maui. In the meantime, we would love to share our home with you.

Why we chose Wailea Elua Village

We chose the Wailea Elua Village for many reasons. Elua is a gated, oceanfront complex situated on a gorgeous, white sand beach called Ulua Beach (yes, the same beach we were married on 34 years ago). Additionally, the grounds at Elua are absolutely spectacular with orchids growing on almost every tree. Also, we love SCUBA diving, and Elua Village is less than 1-1/2 miles from the Kihei Boat Ramp where all the dive and snorkel boats depart for Molokini Crater and all the other great South Maui dive sites!

What makes our Elua Village condo unique

The location of our unit (#701) in the Elua Village Resort is perfect! We are centrally located, less than 150 yards from the sand of Ulua Beach, as well as the remodeled main pool and pavilion area for the Elua Village complex. We are even closer to the newly remodeled mid-village pool and jacuzzi area (which is hardly ever crowded because everyone goes to the main pool/pavilion that is on the beach!) Our location in the village very quiet because we are far away from the road noise of Wailea Alanui Road at the back of the complex. Finally, we have a wonderful ocean view from our huge lanai (which is over 400 square feet of wonderful outside space!)
